Kevin has been trimmin' hooves since he was 12 years old, learning from his father in the USA. He has been running the Happy Hoofer business for almost 30 years. Kevin firmly believes in cow comfort and does everything the old fashioned/manual way that his customers have come to rely on. The business continues to grow and expand despite ever increasing competition and new methods.

​Harmony joined the Happy Hoofer family early in 2014 and has been assisting them with modernizing their operation, growing their client base, and having a presence in the online world. With ever growing competition, and modernizing clients, it became increasingly important for the Happy Hoofer to not only be on the map but to also tell the story of their rich history, and 30 years of experience. Harmony has over 15 years experience specializing in Marketing, Communication & Events.

My education and work experience have provided me with a solid base of knowledge and I am eager to improve my understanding of agriculture and gardening, and to advocate and educate through practical application.   

1992–1998 Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, University of British Columbia;  & Recipient of P.A. Boving Prize in Agriculture (for excellence in Sustainable Agriculture)


Interests: Rare livestock breed preservation, Training and techniques of animal traction (including oxen and horses), Studying and teaching the Art of Riding, Studying concepts and methods of Sustainable Agriculture, and Topics in Anthroposophy.
